Biff is back this episode to catch up with Jacques and Joe and their waaaaaacky adventures! First, Joe returned to RetroWorld Expo in Connecticut for his annual family outing and *almost* beat the Whammy. Then Jacques and Joe laugh it up with Nick and Joe (no relation) at the Found Footage Festival in Harvard Square! And if THAT wasn't enough, Jacques performs stand-up at a fundraiser for Eddie's Ranch, a 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue, with Wayne Russell, Mike Koutrobis and Christine Hurley... and Joe is IN THE AUDIENCE!

 

Oh, and the president continues to target his enemies and the marginalized, and the First Amendment is being obliterated EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!

Producer. Director. The thing Joe loves MOST on this planet (sure sure wife and kids …) Old Game Shows and the thing Jacques loves MOST on this planet (comment censored) … old Sitcoms.

 

So when recently watching an episode of The Golden Girls … in which Dorothy ties out for Jeopardy (yes the great Alex Trebek AND Merv Griffen are on this episode) this send the boys down a rabbit hole which resulted in Joe’s Plex becoming a cornucopia of (mostly) sitcom’s in which one of the characters wound up on a REAL game show.

 

Starting with The Jackie Gleason Show in which the entire episode was a “Honeymooners” sketch where Ralph and Alice go on “Beat The Clock”

 

We have a hat trick of different sitcom’s crossing over with The Gong Show.

 

There are 8 billion people on this planet and 9 billion podcast … but only ONE which brings you a beat by beat breakdown of the  October 3, 1986  magical cross over of the sitcom 227 and Wheel Of Fortune!

 

Yes, I DID say this is part 1 or … how many … let’s just say MORE then 2.  You’re welcome ‘Merica.

 

Oh … the Golden Girls, Odd Couple and Mama’s Family (yeah, Mama’s Family) clips are used under the “Fair Usage” doctrine and we thank all for not suing us.

Jacques takes a well-deserved break from helping an elderly woman get their house in order on the other side of the country to tell Joe and Biff all about the grueling--yet fulfulling (?)--ordeal in great detail. TL;DR: Set up your family trust TODAY!

Plus: Biff is watching anime and the Stanley Cup Final, and Joe is watching episodes of the 1980s game show "Scrabble" and his life slip away. Jacques also brings up a classic episode of "The Golden Girls" where Dorothy dreams of going on "Jeopardy!" and Joe is finally listening to what Jacques has to say on the podcast!
