Last minute scheduling hic-cup means no new Carnival Personnel Sideshow this week ... yes, we know the sadness you feel ... so this is a special REPOSTING of one of our favorite episodes ever! Enjoy! Jacques and Biff’s long-time friend Ronak zooms in to chat She-Hulk v. Wonder Woman, give advice on the best way to figure out what you want to do in “the biz” if you know you want in and aren’t sure where you should be AND she answers honestly, “does Jacques hold the record for most shows pitched to her in her years as a development executive?” Ronak has gotten at least 25 shows on the air! Shows she’s either created, curated or help develop. It might be hard to see the lawyer degree and MBA hanging on her wall behind the vintage Boba Fett action figure she owns! This is one of those episodes where at the end, you’ll ask yourself: She really takes Jacques calls? Really?!

Jacques fell down the rabbit hole that is his pal Sully’s Plex account and a youtube clip of all the theme songs to the record breaking 1979 new TV shows … oh and some shit went down at the Olympics. Simone Biles wins off the mat and Tom Hanks intros the Cleveland Guardians! This weeks Japan crime clip we (Jacques) learns you drive on the left side over there!

Jacques thought the passing of one of the greatest directors of the 2nd half of the last century deserves a rambling sideshow where he mis-quotes ‘facts” about his career and his undead wife (who is arguably more successful than he was.)
And Biff obliged.-
Donner pretty much created the big budget super hero movie with Superman The Movie (arguable one of the greatest tights and capes movies till this day!) Suspense horror legend with The Oman as well as Jacques (and maybe Joe’s) favorite Christmas movie Scrooged! There wasn’t a genre he didn’t kick ass in.
He even in his TV days directed episodes of Gilligan’s Island, Get Smart and The Banana Splits… I know, right!?

After a month off (you’re welcome) Biff and Jacques are back to shoot the shit about everything and nothing. Know what else is back … Jacques tragic audio engineering skills … couldn’t get mixer and his mic to work … so this is all zoom audio baby! UGH.
Jacques took his family on a 650 mile road trip JUST to watch Karate Kid triple feature at Mahoning Drive In in Lehighton PA, was a BLAST … two weeks later big Solar tried to shut down the 72 year old theater … was Jacques the hero that saved it? Probably not … but he did pull a fast one to try to help.

Comedian Sally Mullin’s joins Biff and Jacques to talk about her stand up special “Sleazy Does It” (which is an absolutely hysterical hour of brutally cringeworthy awesomeness), How she’s been killing it in the zoom comedy world over lock down and how she balances all this with HER podcast (PORN MOM PODCAST) and her FAN’S ONLY (@MsJamieFoster) work.
As always, Jacques wouldn’t STFU but Sally was able to talk about mentoring comics and adult film talent as well as talk the ups and downs of creating content and the evils of dealing with the selling of content (like her horror, thriller features on Amazon Prime.)
